So hey.
I’ve wiped my hard drive and reinstalled OSX about five separate times, using different versions, and I’m still having some serious computer issues that are preventing me from scanning, lettering and posting comics. At this point it’s looking like a hardware issue, and my computer’s old enough that I’m not sure if repairs will be worth it. Until I can buy a new computer, or if I manage to get my old one working all right, I’m forced to put the comic on hiatus. (Not exactly happy about the expense, but my hands are kind of tied!)
I don’t intend for this to last long – I’ll be buying a new computer as soon as humanly possible, but the one I want (the new iMac) is really hard to get a hold of right now, and I’m holding out hope that I can get one in town rather than having to wait two weeks if I order it online.
I want to say thanks to my best pal Cindy and my superhero webhost Jason for all their help over the past week, my girlfriend Sheri for putting up with me as I’m stressed right out over not being able to update, my parents (whose computer I’m using to post this!), and of course, thanks to everyone reading this for your support and patience. I’ll be back as soon as possible! I’ll also try to post updates on the Facebook page – so keep your eyes peeled there if you’re interested.

Why not just draw them, ink them and photo them like you did with this one? Nothing wrong with showing your “ART”.
Even if I can’t update with full comics, I’ll find something I can do in the meantime – filler art is better than nothing! 🙂
Oh man, I wish I could help you in person, because I love this comic. I’m a Mac tech support guy (non-Apple). It sounds like a bad, bad problem though. Feel free to email me if you want a second (or third?) opinion. And good luck!

I’ve put it through its paces (with some help) so it’s likely hardware… I’m debating having a professional look at it after the new computer comes in (I’d like to have it as a spare laptop if it can be fixed affordably), but the new one’s already ordered and hopefully on its way.
At the very least, I’ll be able to work ahead a bit for when updates resume. (Which again, I hope is sooner than later!)
If you haven’t yet (and hopefully this isn’t pouring salt on the computer wounds), be sure to get yourself an external drive to do Time Machine backups on.
And yeah, don’t stress too much!
Oh yeah – thankfully I’ve been pretty good about running backups, so I’ve got pretty much everything safe and sound on a 1TB external hard drive. (And I didn’t lose anything Hereafter-related, so that was a huge relief.)
Dude! Anything you can get up will be great. Don’t stress, it’s just not worth it.
