Origins
Apologies for the lack of an actual comic today. I had a lot to deal with this weekend, and instead of putting out something subpar, I thought it might be interesting to go into the “archives” and fish out something I haven’t shown before.
If you read the “about” page, I go over the short history of the concept before I actually put pencil to paper and got this webcomic rolling. In 2004/2005, I had imagined “Hereafter” as an animated series – but with no experience and very few contacts, that was to remain a pipe dream. However, I did put together a pitch, along with some character design sketches for Lordon, Jesus, Athena, Hercules and Buddha, shown above in that order.
Not especially far off from what I have now, though fortunately my drawing skills have improved a bit. 😉
I think i put some ‘like on sight’ upon Buddha. ^^
Why not tell the tale of the reception they had at the Opus? oh memories…
