Not a finished piece today, but a sneak peek at something I’m working on, in progress. I figure anyone into comics will instantly recognize what this is an homage to – John Byrne and Terry Austin’s classic cover to Uncanny X-Men #141:
(I’ll definitely share the finished version once it’s done.)
Also, a bit of good news: my new computer has shipped, and should arrive next week! Which means comic updates will resume on December 31st. 🙂
Wow! Great job. I can’t wait to see the finished work.
Thanks! 🙂 If I get the new computer ready to go in time, I might be able to post a scanned/edited version on the 27th. If not, I’ll find another place to use it for sure.
I just noticed Ra up there… *falls out of chair laughing*
Whoa, good eye!!
Lordon : Napping
Noah : Happy Hour
I see the peril they are in there. 😀
Ha! Well, that’s their current status. Which, of course, can change at any moment!
True enough.
Though I guess Happy Hour could be somewhat perilous with a bunch of Demons around, though Noah didn’t seem like a pushover, so I doubt he’d be in so much peril that he wouldn’t charge said demons for their drinks. 😀
After all, there’s profit to be made!
You wouldn’t by chance happened to have been inspired by the recent news of the making of a movie based on that storyline?
If not- it was one heck of a coincidence!
Definitely not a coincidence. I’m pretty massively excited to see how that movie turns out. 🙂
And Uncanny X-Men #141 is a classic, iconic cover that’s an homage favourite – came to mind pretty quickly when I figured I’d do something like this.
