I’m not sure if it’s a conscious style choice not to use it, but a little line-weight variance would go a long way towards making this easier to read visually. It’s difficult to distinguish between characters/backgrounds/distances, etc.
Thanks for the constructive comment, Jay! I’ve been making a conscious effort to step up my game visually, and this is something I’ve wanted to address. Admittedly I often get into “rush mode” trying to meet my own deadlines and don’t get to practice or experiment as much as I’d like to. Something to keep in mind going forward!
